Amelia Gomes

Amelia Gomes is the Staff Accountant for World Food Program USA. She is responsible for the day-to-day processing of accounting transactions and reporting, aiding in clarifying the financial outlook of our organization and its donors with precise, and proactive measures. Prior to her departure as a Senior Accountant, Amelia held increasingly responsible positions in Rise Against Hunger’s Accounting and Finance team for the past seven years.

Amelia is an ally in the fight against food insecurity, and relishes in the opportunity to contribute to the ever-growing demands of our accounting team as it continues to evolve. Amelia holds a Bachelors in Accounting from Colorado State University and is currently pursuing her Master’s from the University of Maryland.
