In October 2021, Andrew joined the fourth installment of our Us Against Hunger virtual panel series, speaking alongside WFP experts in the topic of “The Future of Hunger & Food Systems.” Additionally, he appeared in two videos for WFP which were highly promoted. The first video was shared as part of our global famine campaign and featured Andrew alongside other globally revered chefs. The second video focused on Andrew’s passion for food systems reform and was released globally on World Food Day. In January 2022, Andrew placed an op-ed in the Washington Post to bring awareness to the need on cutting down food waste as a driver of hunger.
