Standing With Syria: One Family’s Story From Zaatari

Published March 15, 2016

On a recent trip to Jordan’s Zaatari refugee camp, we met Marouf, his wife and their five children. After years of fighting, they’re just a few of the millions of people who rely on the United Nations World Food Programme for their meals, and their survival.

Marouf explains that not all of his children were able to escape Syria, and that in the refugee camp, he’s not able to use his skills to work.

“War or no war, we need food to carry on.”

This is their story.
