Capital One’s Emily High Daniels Joins WFP USA Board of Directors

Wealth management professional to serve on the nonprofit’s finance committee

WASHINGTON, D.C. – World Food Program USA (WFP USA) has appointed Emily High Daniels, senior director of wealth planning for Capital One Wealth Management, to its board of directors. She will also serve on the board’s finance committee.

“We are pleased to have Emily join us in our fight to solve global hunger,” said Richard Leach, president and CEO of WFP USA. “Emily’s deep knowledge of the financial sector and philanthropic giving will be a tremendous asset to our board.”

Before joining Capital One, Daniels held wealth management positions with Wells Fargo Private Bank, Keel Point, Brighton Jones, and King & Spalding. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Hampton University and J.D. from Columbia Law School.

“I am honored to be joining the World Food Program USA board and look forward to working with fellow board members and the talented and energetic staff.  I have a great deal of respect for the innovative hunger eradication work the World Food Programme is engaged in, and I will do my best to help World Food Program USA continue delivering on its mission to support those efforts,” Daniels said.

Daniels joins an accomplished roster of board members at the organization, including former Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman, former Senators Bob Dole and Tom Daschle and board chair Randy Russell, president and partner of The Russell Group.
