WASHINGTON, DC (March 4, 2021) – World Food Program USA (WFP USA) today named Scott Price, President of UPS International, to its distinguished board of directors. Price, who oversees UPS’s business operations in more than 220 countries and territories outside of the United States, will leverage his industry-leading expertise to support World Food Program USA’s advocacy and fundraising efforts in support of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP)’s global mission.

“We are so pleased to welcome Scott to our Board. He will be a tremendous asset to us as we grow our organization, expand our impact, and mobilize to feed more than 100 million people this year,” said Barron Segar, President and CEO, World Food Program USA. “Scott brings stellar executive leadership, strategic vision, and a growth mindset that will help us take our organization to the next level.”

Price previously served as UPS’s Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer and was responsible for strategic planning, Global Business Services and the company’s Advanced Technology Group, as well as driving and facilitating transformational change by identifying key opportunities across his businesses.

“I am honored to serve on the World Food Program USA Board and advocate for efforts to alleviate hunger,” said Scott Price, UPS International President. “With hundreds of millions of people around the world facing food insecurity and growing poverty, it is more important than ever for humanitarian organizations and the public and private sectors to work together on bold actions to enable life changing programs.”

Prior to joining UPS, Price was Executive Vice President of Global Leverage for Walmart International, where he led key strategic leverage initiatives for the company’s international segment. Previously, Price served as CEO of DHL Express Europe, where he held a number of key leadership positions, including heading the company’s largest market in the Asia-Pacific region.

Price will bring to our Board his experience from several prominent advocacy roles, including his chairmanship of the National Center for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (NCAPEC)—a business association focused on facilitating American private sector input to the APEC process—and his former membership on the U.S. India Business Council.

Following his Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, Price earned a Master of Business Administration degree and a master’s degree in Asian studies from the University of Virginia. He previously served on the board of trustees for the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
