William (Bill) Dietz has worked in the wholesale produce business for 45 years and served as president of Heartland Produce Co. in Kenosha, Wisconsin since 1989. A family-owned business, Heartland Produce was founded with the mission to provide retailers and consumers with the highest quality produce available, and to deliver it with the best service. As a full-service partner, Heartland Produce offers retail and food service support, transportation and warehouse storage.

In 2013, Bill cofounded the Heartland Children’s Foundation to give back to the children and families of the communities they serve. The Foundation empowers children to be tomorrow’s leaders by supporting non-profits in the services they provide including mental health counseling, court advocates for neglected children in the juvenile court system, therapeutic food for children suffering from severe hunger and lifesaving assistance to mothers and children fleeing domestic violence.

Bill has served as a member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs for 20 years. In 2013, he also joined the Midwest Region Board of UNICEF USA and served as Board Chair from 2019 to 2021. He attended Northern Illinois University. He has been married to Cindee for 45 years, has two children, Ryan and the late Katie, and two grandchildren, Evan and McKenna.
